New Environmental Management System (EMS) Norms Effective August 21, 2025
Starting August 21, 2025, all businesses—irrespective of size, sector, or ownership—will be required to implement and adhere to the updated Environmental Management System (EMS) norms as mandated by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) in alignment with global sustainability standards.
Extension of BIS Quality Control Order for PVC Imports
In a significant update for stakeholders in the plastics and polymer industry, the Government of India has officially extended the implementation date of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) quality control norms for Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) imports to June 24, 2025. This extension provides importers, manufacturers, and distributors additional time to align with the updated certification requirements.
